The first Hungarian-designed and built two-seat helicopter
The HC-02 types were designed by Gábor Farkas and Zoltán Juhász and are manufactured jointly by Hungaro-Copter Kft. and Steel Riders Kft.
The project
The aim is a reliable, side-by-side, ultralight-category helicopter that is also suitable for flight training.
After several years of design and production preparation, the two-seat HC-02.2 variant, suitable for VFR flight, was completed in 2021. Since 8 June 2021 the helicopter has held the flight permit and registration certificate required for test flights in Hungary and Slovakia.
According to an experienced test pilot, the domestically developed helicopter has good dynamics and controllability, and its power-to-weight ratio exceeds what is usual in its class.
The experience gained in manufacturing the helicopter components also benefits our supplier production.
